Lets get visual...
Here are a couple of sketches that I did a year or two ago, when I was toying with the idea of starting another single panel cartoon. The idea behind this one would have been to make fun of famous historical figures and events. Why history? I haven't got a clue...other than it seemed like a good idea at the time...

"Her prediction for today is pain" -- THAT IS GENIUS!!!! OMG. I am totally laughing out loud at that. Genius!

Right on, Mrs. Nostradamus! You go girl! :)
Dude, those are great! I didn't know you could draw! I always wondered where you found those cool illustrations for your posts. I thought you just stole them from somewhere like, um, some other bloggers sometimes do.
Seriously, those are as funny (and well-drawn) as anything in the comics page of our newspaper. Sorry, I guess that's faint praise. Really, they are good.
Your etchings are most agreeable, Mr. Blogger.
You seem to be a dab-hand with your implement.
Monique- If only the people at the MacArthur Foundation felt the same way.
paisley- Thanks, unfortunately I suspect it wouldn't do any better than the first cartoon I tried.
HollyGL- And to think he never saw it coming!
Diesel- Why, thank ye kindly, Big D. Actually, I've been making art of one kind or another for a very long time, but trying to make people laugh is something I only started doing a few years ago.
Lord Likely- It is most gracious of your Lordship to say so!
Wish I could draw like that too. You're talented!
You are so talented. Do you need an agent or a manager? I'd like to throw my hat into the ring if the answer is "yes"! My only compensation request would be that I get to hang out with you on occasion. I'm a big fan of laughter. I'd give anything to be as quick on my feet as you and Diesel.
Those things are great! Great drawings and great comments! I'm not just saying that because I am awesome either!
I thought they both were pretty good! My favorite was the weekend in ancient Rome. LOL.
hahahaha. that said, HAHAHAHA!
i remember the last time you shared your cartoons -- i thought they were funny then and i think they're even more funny, now. i'm tellin' ya, TDB, you're good! ; ) xox
Jaesoreal- Hey, awesome is as awesome does...yeah,I have no idea what that means either.
charlottalove- Thank you, I really like your name by the way.
neva- Well hello darlin', it's good to hear(read?)the sound of your maniacal laughter once again:)
